Wine-Searcher Presents Award at the International Wine Challenge Event
(PRWEB) September 17, 2008 -- Wine Searcher, www.wine-searcher.com, participated in the International Wine Challenge Awards evening in London on 3rd September where over 850 guests attended to applaud the winners of the prestigious wine awards.
The International Wine Challenge launched 25 years ago is the world's largest wine competition. Held annually, it attracts entries from over 40 countries and this year had over 40,000 bottles of wine submitted for blind tasting.
Wine Searcher is a major sponsor of the IWC event. Adon Kumar, the General Manager of Wine-Searcher.com hosted ten merchants and sponsors at the Wine-Searcher dinner table and presented the trophy to the winner of the Direct Merchant Award.
"It was a privilege to be among some of the world's best and award winning winemakers and merchants; and actually taste the trophy winning wines", said Mr Kumar.
Wine-Searcher, used by over 600,000 visitors each month, is the world's largest and most used wine search engine.
